For 11 years the performer was married to fellow Broadway star Idina Menzel. In 2009 the couple welcomed their only child together, son Walker. They divorced after 11 years of marriage in 2014.
The actor has since been very open about his dating life. He appeared on the Netflix series, ‘Selling Sunset’ with his ex-girlfriend realtor Amanza Smith. In 2021 he was a contestant on ABC’s ‘The Celebrity Dating Game.’
