Queen Elizabeth II: Photos Of The Monarch — Queen Elizabeth II, born April 21, 1926, was the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. She took to the throne at the age of 26-years-old following the death of her father, King George VI. Queen Elizabeth II is the longest-reigning monarch in England’s history and has seen the nation through various parts of history. Her very first Prime Minister was Winston Churchill, who saw her through the ‘50s. Queen Elizabeth II witnessed a number of historic events including the U.S. getting men on the moon, further Prime Ministers, and so much more. Her Majesty sadly passed away on September 8, 2022. She was 96.

She was been married to her husband, Prince Philip, since 1947. The two had four children together including King Charles, who ascended to the throne following her passing. She was also the grandmother of Prince William and Prince Harry.
