She rose to fame playing the bubbly chef Sookie on the beloved series ‘Gilmore Girls’, before going on to play Dena on ‘Samantha Who?’ from 2007 to 2009. She hit it big as Molly Flynn on ‘Mike & Molly’ from 2010 to 2016 but her breakout role in film was playing Megan in the hit comedy ‘Bridesmaids,’ a performance that earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Proving her dramatic chops, Melissa was nominated for a second Academy Award for Best Actress for playing Lee Israel in 2018’s ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ She’s also had starring roles in movies like ‘Identity Thief,’ ‘The Heat,’ ‘Tammy,’ ‘Spy,’ and more. Melissa is married to actor Ben Falcone and they have two children together
