Mary Tyler Moore — Mary Tyler Moore will forever turn the world on with her smile. The late actress first got her start in television in the 1950s. Her breakthrough came in the 1960s with ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show,’ cast opposite Dick Van Dyke. After the show, she was given her own program, ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show,’ which cast her opposite Valerie Harper, Ed Asner, Cloris Leachman, Gavin MacLeod, Betty White, and Ted Knight. In seven seasons, the show won 29 Emmys, with Mary Tyler Moore taking home three for Best Lead Actress in a sitcom. After the show ended, Mary continued to work in film and television. She would also appear on the stage, and make frequent appearances alongside her former costars. Sadly, in 2017, Mary Tyler Moore passed away at age 80, due to cardiopulmonary arrest complicated by pneumonia. She was later buried at Oak Lawn Cementer in Fairfield, Connecticut.
