‘High School Musical’ Cast — The cast for ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ has been officially revealed. Joshua Bassett will be joined by Sofia Wylie, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Reinder, Matt Cornett, Dara Renee’, Julia Lester, Frankie Rodriguez, Larry Saperstein, and Mark St. Cyr. The show will take place nearlly 15 years after the original ‘High School Musical,’ which premiered in 2006. ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ will follow a group of students as they work on their school’s first-ever production of ‘High School Musical.’ The new show will air on Disney+, The Walt Disney Company’s upcoming streaming service. While the show will feature brand-new songs, it will also pay homage to the original movie. There will be acoustic ‘rehearsal room’ reinterpretations of songs from the original ‘High School Musical.’ Production on the series is currently underway in Salt Lake City. A premiere date for the show has not been announced just yet.
