Desperate Housewives Cast: Then And Now — First came ‘The Real Housewives’; then came ‘Desperate Housewives’. The hit ABC series, which aired from 2004 to 2012, followed the lives of a well-off group of suburban friends who lived on Wisteria Lane and seemingly have a picture-perfect life. However, their secrets began to unfold after one of their friends took their own life.

The show had five leading ladies: Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, and Vanessa Williams. While the cast members have gone on to create new projects, they have come back together over the years for various reasons. For instance, Teri reunited with on-screen lover James Denton for Hallmark Channel’s 2021 film, ‘A Kiss Before Christmas’.

There have been some murmurings of a reboot over the years, but Eva said the show’s creator, Marc Cherry, feels no need to add to the story. ‘He feels like he’s fully explored those characters. He really was like, kind of a ‘Why now?,’ like ‘Why now, what would they be doing?” she said on ‘GoodDay New York’ in 2021.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria — Born in March 1975 in Texas, Eva landed her first acting role as a flight attendant on ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’, per IMDb. She then landed a recurring role on ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Isabella Brana, which lasted from 2001 to 2003. Eva became a household name once she landed ‘Desperate Housewives’ directly after acting on the popular soap. Now, she is a mother to one son, Santiago, with her husband, José Bastón, and continues to act.

Felicity Huffman

Felicity Huffman — Felicity’s biggest role following her ‘Desperate Housewives’ days came on the crime drama ‘American Crime’. which aired between 2015 and 2017. She made headlines in 2019 for being involved in the college admissions scandal, during which rich and/or famous parents helped their children gain admission to various colleges through cheating, bribery, and more. She was sentenced to 14 days in jail, and only had to serve 11 of them. She is married to ‘Shameless’ star William H. Macy.

Marcia Cross

Marcia Cross — Born in Massachusetts in 1962, Marcia Cross began acting in the mid-1980s and took a liking to soap operas, such as ‘The Edge of Night’, ‘Another World’, and ‘One Life to Live. Aside from ‘Desperate Housewives’, Marcia is known for starring as Kimberly Shaw on ‘Melrose Place’ between 1992 and 1997. Her biggest role after ‘Desperate Housewives’ was as Claire Haas in ‘Quantico’. Marcia is an anal cancer survivor and has two children with her husband, Tom Mahoney.

Teri Hatcher

Teri Hatcher — Like Marcia, Teri Hatcher began acting in the 1980s and landed her breakout role in the early 1990s. She starred as Lois Lane on ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’ between 1992 and 1997 before booking her gig on ‘Desperate Housewives.’ She has one daughter, Emerson, with her ex-husband Jon Tenney. Teri was born in 1964 in California and is a former San Franciso 49ers cheerleader.

Nicollette Sheridan

Nicollette Sheridan — Nicollette Sheridan was born in England in 1963 and like many of her castmates, began her career in the 1980s. Aside from ‘Desperate Housewives’, she is known for ‘Knots Landing’, on which she acted from 1986 to 1993. She played Alexis Carrington in ‘Dynasty’ in 22 episodes between 2018 and 2019. Although she has been married twice, she has no kids.

Vanessa Williams — New York native Vanessa Williams has been acting since 1980, ut got her big break on ‘Desperate Housewives’. She also played Wilhelmina Slater on ‘Ugly Betty’ between 2006 and 2010. Her most notable recent role was a voice acting gig as Captain Beakman on the children’s series, ‘T.O.T.S.’. Vanessa has been married three times. She had three daughters and one son with her first husband, Ramon Hervey.

Ricardo Antonio Chavira

Ricardo Antonio Chavira — Ricardo Antonio Chavira played Carlos Solis on ‘Desperate Housewives’, which served as his first major and long-term role. After the series ended, the Texas-born actor starred in one season of ‘Welcome to the Family’, 15 episodes of ‘Scandal’, and 18 episodes of ‘Selena: The Series’. He has two children with his wife, Marcea Dietzel.

James Denton — James Denton is best known for playing Mike Delfino on ‘Desperate Housewives.’ The Nashville, Tenn.-born actor went on to play Dr. Sam Radford on ‘Good Witch’ between 2015 and 2021, and starred in ‘A Kiss Before Christmas’ with ‘Desperate Housewives’ co-star, Teri Hatcher. He has one son and one daughter with his fitness trainer wife, Erin O’Brien.
