Celebrity Homes That Burned in California Fires: Stars Who Were Affected

Multiple stars have confirmed they lost their houses in the Palisades fire in California.

In January 2025, multiple wildfires wreaked havoc on Southern California. It all started with the Palisades fire, which erupted in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood on January 7. Shortly thereafter, thousands of acres burned, including several celebrity homes and properties.

A handful of celebrities confirmed that they had lost their houses in the wildfires, including Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Diane Warren and Joshua Jackson. Other stars’ homes were also reportedly destroyed, including Anna Faris’, but she hasn’t publicly commented on the reports. As Hollywood’s awards season looms, communities in L.A. are struggling to move forward and rebuild.

In honor of those affected, several stars, including Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, and others, are coming together to perform in a Fire Aid Benefit Concert to raise funds. Additionally, multiple other celebrities are sharing ways to donate and support those impacted by the fires in California.

Diane revealed she lost her house in an Instagram post, sharing an image of the seaside. 

“This is the last pic I took of Leah’s rock from my beach house,” Diane wrote in her caption. “I’ve had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last nite. There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.”

Spencer shared a TikTok video of what appeared to be their home engulfed in flames. He followed up in an Instagram post, sharing a charred image of his and Heidi’s children’s room, writing, “The one positive sign i saw as our house burned down was ours sons bed burned in the shape of a heart. A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family.”

Paris revealed she and he family watched their Malibu home burn down on live TV. 

“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Paris wrote on Instagram. “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London. While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”

It’s the spot where we got married 3 years ago. I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event.”

Beyonce‘s mom, Tina, revealed she lost her Malibu house in one of the fires. 

“This is what I was looking at on my birthday this past weekend from my tiny little bungalow on the water in Malibu!” Tina wrote in an Instagram post alongside a video of the ocean. “It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred Happy Place. Now it is gone !! God Bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions. We Thankyou for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives.”

Billy confirmed in a statement obtained by PEOPLE that his home was demolished. 

“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” the statement read. “We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this. We pray for the safety of the fire fighters and first responders. The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”

Melissa confirmed to CNN that her home was destroyed in one of the fires. 

“My heart is so broken, not just for myself … it’s a town and it’s wiped off the map,” Melissa said. “That is the end of everything that belonged to my family and the history of it. I grabbed my mom’s Emmy, a photo of my dad and a drawing my mother had done of me and my son. … I went for a drawing of hers, rather than a photo. I know I can find the photos, but a drawing I can’t replace.”

But today, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the people I love.”

Two weeks after the fires were nearly contained, Tyra appeared on the Australian show Sunrise and revealed she lost her home in L.A. She only found out about the loss while she was still in Australia spending time with friends. 

“I lost my house. I haven’t really talked about it, but, yeah, I have,” she said. “I just didn’t want to pull a lot of attention to me,” she said. “I feel like there’s a lot of people that need that attention, so I haven’t really talked about it, but I can’t sit here and not tell the truth that, yeah, we lost our house.”

Tyra then clarified that she splits her time between L.A., New York and Australia, noting, “We’re between here and New York, so a lot of those mementos are here and in New York, so I didn’t lose that, thank goodness. There were some mementos that we lost. But yeah, it’s tough.”

According to a report from New York Magazine, actor Haley Joel Osment’s home burned down in the Altadena fire, along with his parents’ home.

Writer Abe Streep reported that Osment “lost 500 records and a piano his parents had given him when he turned 18.”

Streep also shared that Osment’s father “was struggling with the loss of his home, having spent a decade sanding and refinishing the wood floors and painstakingly varnishing metal surfaces.”

Actor Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller, experienced the devastating loss of their Pacific Palisades home to a fire. In an interview with E! News, Miles shared how their close friends have been offering support to the couple during this challenging time.

“Many people have reached out, just either letting us know that they’re there emotionally or people are offering us their place,” Miles said. “I’m a Deadhead, and so I’ve had a lot of people reach out to Keleigh like, ‘I want to send Miles a Grateful Dead shirt.’”

He continued, “Little stuff just means a lot, so it’s been very heartwarming.”
