The ‘Community’ Cast Then & Now — Community debuted on NBC in September 2009, running for six seasons and bidding farewell on Yahoo! Screen in 2014 after a network change. The Dan Harmon-created sitcom followed a group of loveable misfits and their misadventures at a community college in the fictional town of Greendale, Colorado. Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Donald Glover, Alison Brie, Danny Pudi, Chevy Chase, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, and later, Paget Brewster made up the group of eccentric study group classmates and deans forming a community at different stages in their lives.

Joel McHale as Jeff Winger

Joel McHale as Jeff Winger — Joel McHale led the Greendale Community College pack as Jeff Winger, a disbarred lawyer who returns to school to get his degree after his law firm learns that he lied about having one. Post-Community, Joel has since headlined his own show The Joel McHale Show, which ran for 19 episodes in 2018, and starred in films and TV shows like Happily and The Soup.

Alison Brie as Annie Edison — Alison Brie starred as Annie Edison, the studious (and youngest) student in the study group majoring in forensics. Post-Community, Alison has since wed Dave Franco and has starred in Netflix’s hit series GLOW as well as films like Get Hard and Promising Young Woman.

Donald Glover as Troy Barnes — Donald Glover starred as Troy Barnes, a former star quarterback of his high school football team who majored in air conditioning repair. Post-Community, Donald has continued his successful music career under his moniker Childish Gambino and starred in films like The Lion King and Solo: A Star Wars Story, as well as his successful TV series Atlanta.

Danny Pudi as Abed Nadir — Danny Pudi starred as Abed Nadir, a pop culture-obsessed member of the study group who majored in film. Post-Community, Danny has had a career in voice acting, directing, and producing; he has since starred in TV shows like Mythic Quest and DuckTales and films like Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
