Bob Newhart was an American actor and comedian, who’s accomplished more in his epic career than most people in the business can say. After rising to prominence in the 1960s with his deadpan-style comedic monologues, the Oak Park, Illinois native’s TV program The Bob Newhart Show became a huge hit in the 1970s.
After that, Bob appeared in countless shows and films as a beloved figure, finally winning an Emmy in 2013 for his character Professor Proton on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Moreover, he married Virginia Quinn in 1963 after the two immediately hit it off on a blind date. The couple share four children together, Robert, Timothy, Jennifer, and Courtney.
