Angela Bassett — Angela Bassett has had an incredibly prolific career, since making her debut in the entertainment world back in 1985 with her role on Search For Tomorrow. One of her biggest movie roles came in 1992, when she starred in the Spike Lee directed Malcolm X about the iconic civil rights activist. Throughout her career, Angela has made quite an impact playing both real people and fictional characters. Besides playing Malcolm X’s wife, she’s also played rapper Notorious B.I.G.’s mother Violetta Wallace in the 2009 movie Notorious, but perhaps most notably, she played iconic singer Tina Turner in the 1993 movie What’s Love Got To Do?

Some of her other most famous movie roles include playing Ramonda in Black Panther or Lornette Mason in Strange Days. She’s also had a very successful television career with roles in American Horror Story, 9-1-1, and Bojack Horseman.
