Courtney B. Vance (born Courtney Bernard Vance on March 12, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American actor. He is well known for playing A.D.A. Ron Carver on Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2001 to 2006. He’s also had roles on The Closer, Revenge, Flashforward, Masters of Sex and State of Affairs. Some of his film roles include The Hunt for Red October, Final Destination 5, Joyful Noise and Terminator: Genisys. He won a Tony Award in 2013 for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his role in Lucky Guy. Courtney plays one of O.J. Simpson’s lawyers, Johnnie Cochran, on The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
