Charlie Cox (born Charlie Thomas Cox on December 15, 1982 in London, England) is a British actor. Charlie grew up in East Sussex. While in grade school, he trained in drama, before furthering his skills by attending the Bristol Old Vic Theater School in Bristol, England. Early on in Charlie’s career, he had a pair of high profile roles: portraying Lorenzo in the 2004 film version of The Merchant of Venice (alongside Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons) and Tristan Thorn in the fantasy movie, Stardust. He found television success by in the role of Owen Slater on the HBO series, Boardwalk Empire. In 2015, Charlie was cast as the lead role in the Netflix series, Daredevil

Charlie is the youngest of five children. He has a twin brother, whom he lives with in London. Charlie has been rumored to be romantically linked to Lynn Collins, Lily Cole and Kate Mara, but is rumored to be dating dancer and actress Janet Montgomery as of 2015.
